There are some films that no matter what the plot holes are and the glaring errors... you just have to watch simply because it's a lovely film. This film is that. Wonderfully simple, great casting and a superb energy about it. If you love dogs and romance, you'll love this.Reminds me I need to get with someone again :)

Bright quirky comedy dealing with love and relationships with a wonderful cast.John Cusack and Diane Lane are both recent divorcees from others and find romance through the internet and love of dogs.Lane has a strong family to support her emotionally and keep finding possible suitors for her.Nice seeing veteran actor Christopher Plummer in a comedic role as Lane's widowed father who has a variety of dates so that he shall never forget the true love that he lost. One such date is Dolly, played in a very funny way by Stockard Channing. Channing's role is similar to that of the late Maureen Stapleton in "Interiors." She is a real live wire even after burying her third husband.Dermot Mulroney plays another love interest to Lane. His son is in Lane's pre-kindergarten class.Sit back and enjoy this comedy.

OK..so this isn't the greatest movie out there, but there are some absolutely outstanding moments in it.It's the story of a woman trying to find love after divorce with the "help" of her family. All the clichés about dating pop up here, but this isn't a bad thing. The movie recognizes that these are clichés and that the reason they are clichés is that there is a basic truth behind them.Don't get me wrong....there are some genuinely original and hysterical moments.Diane Lane is perfect in this movie, as is Christopher Plummer as her father. Anyone who is in their thirties and is looking for love should see this movie.
